Four companies, one platform. The corporate history behind the therapeutic-area depth, for anyone doing diligence on who they are actually contracting with.
Buyers in life sciences do diligence on who they are contracting with, and a merged company invites the question of what was actually merged. This is the short version.
moveUP was founded in 2015 and built digital care pathways and remote monitoring for hospitals — orthopedic recovery first, then respiratory, metabolic and other pathways, with outcome data captured as part of care rather than collected separately afterwards.
Cascador Health approached the same problem from the data side: unlocking real-world data held across hospitals, on a federated architecture where each data holder keeps control of its own data. Along the way it acquired Galenus and then Neuroventis, the latter bringing depth in neurology.
Cascador Health and moveUP completed their merger on 3 June 2026 and have operated since as Cascador/moveUP, from Brussels and Ghent.
Depth in a therapeutic area is not something a company can decide to have. It arrives through years of programs, clinical relationships and datasets, and it is the one thing that cannot be bought in quickly at the start of a project.
The epilepsy and rare-epilepsy work, the myasthenia gravis programs, the respiratory registries and the orthopedic outcome datasets each came from a different part of this history. What the merger did was put them on one platform, under one quality system, with one team accountable for the result.
For a sponsor, the practical consequence is that a program starting today is configured on a system that is already running, in an area where the clinicians treating your patients are likely to know us already.
