myMGverse: digital symptom monitoring in myasthenia gravis

The challenge

Myasthenia gravis fluctuates. Between consultations a patient can worsen without anyone knowing, and by the next appointment the picture has changed again. Clinicians needed a reliable view of symptom evolution in the weeks they do not see the patient, and patients needed a way to record what was happening without it becoming a burden.

The measure that mattered was MG-ADL, the Activities of Daily Living scale. Any digital version had to agree closely with what a clinician would score in the room, or it would not be trusted.

What we did

moveUP Labs was approached to build a digital symptom tracker for myasthenia gravis. The scope was defined in 2023, the patient application and clinician dashboards were built, and a pilot launched in Spain.

The app runs under its own name, myMGverse: a white-label platform co-developed with argenx and deployed by argenx teams country by country. Patients record MG-ADL, track medication and log symptoms; the app carries medication reminders, a medication diary and disease education. Symptom reports are shared with the treating physician, so what a patient reports between visits reaches the person who can act on it.

Each country is configured and localized separately and run by the local argenx team. We provide the technical setup, maintenance, updates and the real-world evidence integration underneath. A sponsor dashboard sits alongside the patient app and the clinician view.

myMGverse is CE marked as a Class I medical device under the Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC), self-certified. moveUP, as manufacturer, is certified to ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 27001:2022.
