MPO Magna: surgical planning, robot and patient data in one platform

The challenge

Recovery from knee replacement happens at home, between two short consultations. Patients have no structured way to follow their own progress, judge what is normal, or flag deterioration early.

On the clinical side the robot records hundreds of intraoperative parameters while outcomes sit in separate systems. Neither half of the episode can be read against the other, and there is no reference population to compare against.

For the manufacturer, evidence that stops at the operating room does not differentiate an implant and robotics portfolio, and gives no basis for personalized planning.

What we did

MPO Magna is the patient engagement app in the SkyWalker Activus ecosystem, built as a white-label deployment of our platform in a nine-month joint development project.

Robot log and planning files are ingested through dedicated cloud infrastructure and parsed into structured, patient-linked case files. The patient app, clinician dashboard and data insights dashboard are branded to the manufacturer, and the care content covers pre- and post-operative plans, education and outcome measures.

It is configured per site and country and activated by regional teams. It runs with or without robot integration, so robotic, non-robotic and conservative cases sit in the same dataset.
